The GRAPHICS command causes the contents of the display screen to be printed
on the system printer when using a color/graphics display adapter. The
command may be executed at any time (while running applications programs or
while in DOS) and is invoked by pressing the Fn PrtSc key sequence. You will
not be able to use the system while the screen image is printing.
The resulting printout characteristics depend upon what mode the screen is in
when the command is invoked. If the screen is in text mode, any printer will
be able to handle the output. However, if the screen is in a graphics mode
only the IBM graphics printer or printers that use the same graphics control
codes will be able to print the screen image.
Text Mode
- The text displayed on the screen is printed. When printing is completed,
the cursor returns to where it was before the command was issued.
320 x 200 Color Graphics
- The screen image is printed in up to four shades of gray.
640 x 200 Color Graphics
- The screen image is printed sideways on the paper.
NOTE ** Both graphics printouts may take as long as three minutes to complete.
